Baseball Recap: Warner Comes Up Short

Warner extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-8. They lost 18-8 to the Julian Eagles. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 16-6.

Julian's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-13. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Julian's part, they got a massive performance out of Gage Y., who got on base in four of his eight plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Y. a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Chris C, who got on base in four of his eight plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run.

Warner didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 20-1 defeat against Vincent Memorial on the 14th. As for Julian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 21-4 loss against Borrego Springs on the 11th.
