Basketball Recap: Grady Beats Floyd for Their Fifth Straight Win

Grady waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Floyd Broncos by a score of 50-37. While the Bronchos didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Floyd lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Aaron Blakely, who went 5-for-8 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Edwin Gallegos, who posted eight points.

Grady's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Floyd, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Grady and Floyd will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Bronchos see the court they'll take on Mora at 5:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Floyd, their break will end when they face San Jon at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2026.
