Softball Recap: Wapello Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

While Wapello put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Columbus. The Indians narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Wildcats 1-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Indians' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Wapello has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Columbus, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Wapello will welcome Hillcrest Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Indians surely won't give up without a fight. As for Columbus, they will head out to challenge WACO at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
