Northgate had won six straight games and Woody Schettini did his part to make it seven on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Morrow Mustangs 39-6 with plenty of help from Schettini, who rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 110 rushing yards.

Northgate's record now sits at 7-0. As for Morrow, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, after each having a week off, Northgate and Langston Hughes will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Vikings 11, the Panthers 12) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Morrow, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dutchtown at 7:30 p.m. on the 17th. The Mustangs will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
