After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Washington, Lincoln was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They snuck past the Balboa Buccaneers with a 36-31 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 43-29 on January 6th.

When it comes to explaining why Balboa lost, don't look at Ariana Chavez. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Kathy Wong was another key player, putting up six points and six boards.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 8-13. As for Balboa, they dropped their record down to 3-16 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will square off against Galileo at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Mustangs will be up against the Lions' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.13 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Balboa, they will challenge Lowell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
