Softball Recap: Westminster's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

If Westminster was feeling good fresh off their 7-0 takedown of Centennial on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wildcats fell just short of the Long County Blue Tide by a score of 4-3 on Saturday. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Westminster fell to 4-1. As for Long County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westminster will square off against Kell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Long County, they will challenge Bryan County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The last five games the Redskins have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
