Football Game Preview: Prairie View Buffalos vs. Jefferson West Tigers + Official Tickets

The Prairie View Buffalos will take on the Jefferson West Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Prairie View is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Prairie View is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past Burlington 48-6. Considering the Buffalos have won seven contests by more than 28 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Parker Schwarz continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 285 yards and three scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his seventh straight game with at least 184 rushing yards. Josh Goodwin helped out on the ground, rushing for 83 yards.

Jefferson West never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Anderson County on Friday. They breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 45-6. The Tigers pushed the score to 32-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bulldogs had little chance of recovering from.

Jefferson West's win came from a few key players Prairie View will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brixton Schwinn, who threw for 345 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.3 yards per attempt, and also punched in one TD on the ground. Those 345 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Jefferson West's leading receiver Brody Schwinn was Brixton's top target yet again, picking up 152 receiving yards and three scores.

Jefferson West didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Crayton Holman and Parker Jensen.

Prairie View's record is now 8-1. As for Jefferson West, their record now sits at 7-2.

Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Prairie View has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 391.6 rushing yards per game.
