Softball Recap: Bishop Leblond Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

Bishop LeBlond let Northeast Nodaway stack four runs on them in the fifth inning on Wednesday but luckily Bishop LeBlond prevailed anyway. The Eagles came out on top against the Blue Jays by a score of 8-5. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 18-0 win the Blue Jays walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Marah Rocha spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brynna Miller, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Presley Miljavac also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Bishop LeBlond has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Northeast Nodaway, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Bishop LeBlond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northeast Nodaway, they will face off against Cainsville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
