Softball Recap: Seward's Luck Changes for the Better on Saturday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Beatrice, Seward was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against Guardian Angels Central Catholic by a score of 4-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Seward as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Katie Schegg spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Karlee Baack was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Danielle Pallat, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

The victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Seward didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-3 win against Centura on the 13th. As for Guardian Angels Central Catholic, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Milford on the 13th.
