Basketball Game Preview: Oak Grove Eagles vs. Independence 76ers

The Oak Grove Eagles will take on the Independence 76ers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Thursday, Oak Grove ended up a good deal behind Live Oak and lost 49-34. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1111th, while the Acorns are ranked 517th).

Meanwhile, Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Mt. Pleasant.

Oak Grove's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
