Edwardsville barely beat Belleville East the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let the Lancers get on the board and left with a 7-0 win on Tuesday. Considering the Tigers have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Edwardsville has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Belleville East, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 18-11.

Coming up, Belleville East will venture away from home to challenge Gibault Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edwardsville will be paying especially close attention to the Lancers' game: after the Lancers face off against the Hawks, they'll take on Edwardsville again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
