Basketball Recap: Eagle Rock Gets the Win

Eagle Rock won the last time they faced Lincoln and things went their way on Friday too. The Eagle Rock Eagles walked away with a 46-35 victory over the Lincoln Tigers. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly 11 points.

Despite the loss, Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: freshman Leqi 'Maggie' Zhen posted 24 points and four steals. Zhen is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikayla Velasco, who had 11 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

The win made it two in a row for Eagle Rock and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Lincoln, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8.

Eagle Rock has already played their next contest, a 34-33 loss against Wilson on the 5th. As for Lincoln, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 35-33 victory against Bravo on the 5th.
