Baseball Game Preview: Northside Eagles vs. Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets

Northside hasn't had much luck against Thomas County Central recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Eagles will square off against the Yellow Jackets at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Northside needed a bit of extra time to put away Howard. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Huskies, sneaking past 11-10. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Caden Nelson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Ellijah Rozier was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.

Meanwhile, Thomas County Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-3.

Thomas County Central's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Northside, their victory bumped their record up to 6-17.

Northside came up short against Thomas County Central when the teams last played on Tuesday, falling 7-3. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
