Baseball Recap: Athens Academy Takes a Loss

Athens Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-2 to the Rabun County Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 4-1 loss on Friday.

Athens Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Rabun County, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-9.

Coming up, Athens Academy will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy at 5:30 p.m. The last three games Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Rabun County, they will square off against Oglethorpe County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wildcats are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
