Football Recap: Streetsboro Skates Past Coventry with Ease

Streetsboro's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 48-6 victory over the Coventry Comets. That looming 48-6 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rockets yet this season.

Streetsboro got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Janiere Cook out in front who rushed for 305 yards and three scores while picking up 19.1 yards per carry. Cook really tore up the turf during one magnificent 95-yard run. Colton Cox was another major influence, as he rushed for 81 yards and ran in a TD.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Streetsboro was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 412 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Streetsboro's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Coventry, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
