Softball Recap: Lanier Takes a Loss

Lanier couldn't beat South Forsyth on Thursday even though they stacked five runs on them in the second inning. The Longhorns came up short against the War Eagles, falling 12-5.

Lanier saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Roche, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Another was Peyton Crouse, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Lanier now has a losing record of 2-3-1. As for South Forsyth, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2-1.

Coming up, Lanier will be playing in front of their home fans against Peachtree Ridge at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Forsyth, they will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
