Towers came into Tuesday's matchup having lost eight straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 18-16 win over the McNair Mustangs on Tuesday. The Titans' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last six games.

Curtis Lyons was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing six bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those runs marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Alejandro Blanco, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and two RBI.

Towers kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Towers' victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 2-12. As for McNair, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Towers will have a chance to go back-to-back against McNair: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
