Softball Recap: Darlington Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Darlington extended their losing streak to five on Wednesday, dropping them down to 1-5. They fell 14-10 to the Walker Wolverines. The Tigers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.

As for Walker, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

For Walker's part, Layla Finnegan was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those four RBI gave Finnegan a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Koppel, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

While Darlington had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
