Baseball Recap: Brookfield East Victorious

The Brookfield East Spartans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Kettle Moraine Lasers on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Brookfield East's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Kettle Moraine, they moved to 12-10 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Brookfield East will welcome St. Joseph at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lancers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Spartans' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Kettle Moraine, they will face off against Oak Creek at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
