Softball Recap: Keokuk Comes Up Short

Keokuk was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss. They came up short against the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers, falling 14-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chiefs of the 14-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Keokuk's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6-1 record this season.

Keokuk has already played their next match (against Solon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Clear Creek-Amana, they will square off against Williamsburg at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Clippers are on a five-game streak of home wins, the Raiders a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
