Baseball Recap: Ellington Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Ellington's offense. They fell just short of the E.O. Smith/Tolland Bucks by a score of 1-0 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Knights have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Ellington and nudges their season record down to 15-6. Sadly, the team can't blame their woes on tough opposition, as that stretch included 6-12 Enfield and 9-11 E.O. Smith/Tolland. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, they moved to 9-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Ellington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for E.O. Smith/Tolland, they will head out on the road to face off against Enfield at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
