Baseball Recap: Buffalo Comes Up Short

If Buffalo was riding high fresh off their 12-6 takedown of Parkview on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bison lost 13-4 to the Mt. Vernon Mountaineers on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Bison in their meetings with the Mountaineers: they've now lost five in a row.

Buffalo's loss dropped their record down to 5-26. As for Mt. Vernon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record this season.

Buffalo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mt. Vernon, they will venture away from home to square off against Springfield Catholic at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
