Baseball Recap: Morrow Takes a Loss

Morrow fell victim to Newnan and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Cougars, falling 22-0. The Mustangs' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

Morrow saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zoran Galloway, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one double. Galloway is becoming a predictor of the Mustangs' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 6-3 (and 4-10 when he doesn't).

Morrow's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Newnan, their win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-4.

Coming up, Newnan will face off against Collins Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. Morrow will be paying especially close attention to Newnan's game: after Newnan faces off against Collins Hill, they'll take on Morrow again at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
