Elkhorn took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Elkhorn South, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Antlers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Storm 4-3. The victory was nothing new for the Antlers as they're now sitting on seven straight.

Ava Crollard was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlie Villwok, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run.

Elkhorn's win bumped their record up to 20-12. As for Elkhorn South, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-11 record this season.

Elkhorn wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 6-0 victory against Blue River on the 9th. As for Elkhorn South, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 8-2 win against Lincoln North Star on the 8th.
