Basketball Game Preview: Poly Bears vs. Valley View Eagles

The Poly Bears will head out to face off against the Valley View Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Poly will be strutting in after a victory while Valley View will be coming in after a loss.

Poly took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They secured a 38-33 W over Paloma Valley. The win was some much needed relief for the Bears as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Poly found their leader in freshman Abby Folsom, who posted 15 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Folsom has scored at least a third of Poly's points.

Meanwhile, Valley View played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Rancho Christian, falling 87-54. Valley View was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 50-28.

Poly's victory bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Valley View, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-12.

Things could have been worse for Poly, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-46 loss to Valley View when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Poly avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
