Baseball Recap: Elbert County Victorious

Elbert County won the last time they faced Hart County and things went their way on Friday too. The Elbert County Blue Devils walked away with a 4-1 victory over the Hart County Bulldogs.

Haven Adams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Elbert County is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Elbert County's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brayden Ingram, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Jose Rodriguez was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

The victory got Elbert County back to even at 3-3. As for Hart County, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elbert County will welcome Washington-Wilkes at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hart County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Madison County at 5:55 p.m. on Monday.
