McLane is 3-0 against Liberty since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The McLane Highlanders just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Liberty Hawks at 6:30 p.m.

McLane is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Sunnyside just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Wildcats, falling 42-18.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three contests, Liberty brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They blew past Tranquillity 60-14 on Tuesday. The Hawks' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

McLane's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Liberty, they moved to 6-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

McLane strolled past Liberty when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a score of 41-25. The rematch might be a little tougher for McLane since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
