Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Corona

The Centennial Huskies are taking a road trip to take on the Corona Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Centennial is headed into Wednesday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since December 15. They and Roosevelt finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Corona has been on a difficult stretch since their win on the 2nd. They lost 6-2 to Santiago on Friday. While losing is never fun, Corona can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Santiago are ranked eighth).

Corona's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10-4. Centennial's draw gives them a new season record of 13-3-2.

Centennial beat Corona 3-1 in their previous matchup on January 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
