Basketball Game Preview: Everett Alvarez Eagles vs. Stevenson Pirates

The Everett Alvarez Eagles will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Stevenson Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Monday, Everett Alvarez was able to grind out a solid win over Pajaro Valley, taking the game 44-34.

Meanwhile, Stevenson entered their tilt with Rio Americano on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 47-37. While the Pirates didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Stevenson pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Everett Alvarez, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Everett Alvarez strolled past Stevenson when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a score of 40-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Everett Alvarez since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
