Basketball Game Preview: Redwood Christian Eagles vs. Elite Eagles

The Redwood Christian Eagles and the Elite Eagles will round out the year against one another at at 9:00 a.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Redwood Christian saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a hard 43-27 fall against Gateway. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lilliana Faumuina was Redwood Christian's leading scorer, having posted ten points. Breanna Garcia held things down on the boards with seven rebounds. Madyson Krowicki took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.

Meanwhile, Elite was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Marin Academy and fell 64-7. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1165th, while the Wildcats are ranked 497th).

Redwood Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Elite, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-10.

Everything came up roses for Redwood Christian against Elite when the teams last played back in December of 2023, as the team secured a 73-3 win. Does Redwood Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Elite turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
