Softball Recap: Afton Takes a Loss

Afton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 14-0 to the Fairland Owls. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 15-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

Afton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fairland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Afton is set to face off against their familiar foe Chouteau-Mazie at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Fairland will take on rival Wyandotte at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
