Basketball Recap: WISH Academy's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Eight

WISH Academy had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Burton Scorpions 57-1. The Owls have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 22 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kourtney Woodruff, who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kylie Collier, who earned ten points.

WISH Academy pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 17.1 points over those games. As for Burton, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

As of now, neither WISH Academy nor Burton have any future games scheduled.
