Basketball Recap: San Francisco Christian Takes a Loss

After soaring to 63 points the game before, San Francisco Christian was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They took a 32-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pacific Bay Christian Eagles. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Pacific Bay Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Savanna Munds, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Munds has scored at least a third of Pacific Bay Christian's points. Esther Cheng was another key player, putting up four points along with eight boards and three steals.

San Francisco Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Pacific Bay Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

San Francisco Christian will face off against East Palo Alto Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 28th. As for Pacific Bay Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pescadero at 4:00 p.m. on January 30th.
