Baseball Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short

Creekview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Pope Greyhounds. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Greyhounds this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-1 loss on Friday.

Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Pope, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Creekview will challenge Riverwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Creekview is facing Riverwood at the right time seeing as Riverwood is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pope, they will head out to challenge River Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. River Ridge will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Pope surely won't give up without a fight.
