Basketball Game Preview: Cuyama Valley Bears vs. Coast Union Broncos

Cuyama Valley hasn't had much luck against Coast Union recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Cuyama Valley Bears will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Coast Union Broncos at 5:00 p.m. Neither of these teams found much success offensively their last time out, scoring well below their season average.

Cuyama Valley is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Valley Christian Academy on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Cuyama Valley was beaten by Valley Christian Academy 61-3. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-2.

Meanwhile, Coast Union had to suffer through a 55-10 loss at the hands of Valley Christian Academy. The loss continues a trend for the Broncos in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.

Coast Union now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Cuyama Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cuyama Valley took a serious blow against Coast Union in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 41-12. Can Cuyama Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
