It was a good run, but Dunwoody unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Monday. They fell 11-8 to the Peachtree Ridge Lions. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Wildcats, who until this matchup were averaging 3.83 runs allowed.

Brooke Parkes stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Alex Deupree was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.

Dunwoody's loss dropped their record down to 18-5. As for Peachtree Ridge, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-17 record this season.

Dunwoody does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Peachtree Ridge, they will head out to face off against North Gwinnett at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 1.7 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
