Football Recap: Riverside Drops Season-High Score on Eastside + How To Watch

Riverside won the last time they faced Eastside and things went their way on Friday too. The Warriors came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 49-36. The Warriors' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Riverside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Gideon Merhib out in front who threw for 251 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most passing touchdowns Merhib has posted since back in November of 2024. Jaiden Speedy Taylor was Merhib's top target, picking up 61 receiving yards and one TD, while also punching in one score on the ground.

Riverside's record is now 3-4. As for Eastside, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Gaffney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Indians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastside, they will challenge James F. Byrnes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
