Baseball Recap: Valwood Valiants vs. Lakeview Academy Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Valwood had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lakeview Academy Lions, sneaking past 3-1. The victory was familiar territory for the Valiants, who have now won four matches in a row.
Valwood got a great performance from Camden Crump as he didn't allow a single earned run over 6.1 innings pitched. Crump has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances.
