Football Game Preview: Ralston Valley Mustangs vs. Denver South Ravens

The Ralston Valley Mustangs will head out to square off against the Denver South Ravens at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ralston Valley will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Ralston Valley barely beat Chatfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Mustangs took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-22 victory over the Chargers. Considering the Mustangs have won four games by more than 19 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Zeke Andrews, who threw for 257 yards and three touchdowns while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punched in a pair of TDs on the ground. What's more, he racked up 168.3 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Levi Rillos did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 103 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Denver South played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Arvada West and fell 45-7. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 61st, while the Wildcats are ranked sixth).

Ralston Valley's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Denver South, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

Everything came up roses for Ralston Valley against Denver South in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 47-7 victory. In that contest, the Mustangs amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
