Basketball Recap: Foothill Tech Comes Up Short

Foothill Tech played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Bishop Diego Cardinals, falling 61-36. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Foothill Tech still got an impressive performance from Jocelyn Morales, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 22 boards.

Eden Wynne produced another solid performance shooting 4-for-7 from deep and dropping a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds for Bishop Diego. Wynne has been hot recently, having posted 12 or more boards the last three times she's played. Jaymi Coronado was another key player, putting up 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Foothill Tech's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 8-6. As for Bishop Diego, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 15-2.

Looking ahead, Foothill Tech will head out to take on St. Bonaventure at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Diego, they will be playing at home against Santa Paula at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
