LaFayette came out on top against Heritage on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. The Ramblers blew past the Generals 9-1. The Ramblers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by eight runs or more this season.

LaFayette has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Looking ahead, LaFayette will square off against Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Heritage, they will challenge Sonoraville at 5:30 p.m. on September 2.
