Soccer Recap: Jefferson's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Jefferson lost against Buford back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Dragons lost 3-0 to Wolves. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Jefferson came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 79th, while Buford are ranked 208th).

Jefferson's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-5. As for Buford, they pushed their record up to 5-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Jefferson will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clarke Central at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Buford, they will challenge Lee County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
