Soccer Recap: Pleasant Grove's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Wednesday

Pleasant Grove kept a clean sheet against Cosumnes Oaks on Wednesday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 80th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 350th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Adalynn Alley was the driving force of Pleasant Grove's attack as she scored both of Pleasant Grove's goals, bringing her season total up to two goals.

Pleasant Grove now has a winning record of 2-1-1. As for Cosumnes Oaks, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Pleasant Grove wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Monterey Trail on the 20th. Cosumnes Oaks has also already played their next match, a 0-0 draw against River City on the 20th.
