The Silver Hawks pushed the score to 49-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Cardinals had no chance of recovering from.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Lincoln Southwest, adding 14 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jackson Mowitz, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Another reason for the win was Lincoln Southwest's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Christian Fitzgerald, Tanner Schroder, and Nathan Hill, who each picked up one sack apiece.
