Preview: Mountain View Spartans vs. Monte Vista Christian Mustangs
The Mountain View Spartans will head out on the road to face off against the Monte Vista Christian Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Mountain View humbled James Lick with a 79-9 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 51-1.
Mountain View's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alana Hernandez, who scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Liz Cardenas, who scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals.
Meanwhile, Monte Vista Christian got the win against Monterey on Monday by a conclusive 66-45.
The victory makes it two in a row for Mountain View and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Monte Vista Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
