Softball Recap: Lone Tree's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Lone Tree had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They never let the Wapello Indians get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Indians back in May, they had to take a 4-3 loss.

Lone Tree's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Wapello, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Lone Tree will challenge WACO on Monday. As for Wapello, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 10-0 win against Mt. Pleasant on the 21st.
