Softball Game Preview: Creekview Grizzlies vs. River Ridge Knights

The Creekview Grizzlies will head out to square off against the River Ridge Knights at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Creekview's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so River Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Creekview can't be too worried about heading out to take on River Ridge: they just beat North Cobb at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Grizzlies' pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors a 4-0 shutout on Saturday.

Meanwhile, River Ridge came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Greyhounds 3-1.

River Ridge now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Creekview, their win bumped their record up to 17-4.

Creekview skirted past River Ridge 1-0 in their previous meeting back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Grizzlies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
