Recap: Barnum Bombers vs. Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin Raiders
The Barnum Bombers put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 56-7 win over Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin at home. The result was nothing new for Barnum, who have now won five contests by 28 points or more so far this season.
Barnum got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Carlos Beckstrand out in front who picked up 103 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Charboneau, who threw for 178 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Barnum's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.6 points per game. As for Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-9.
Barnum will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Aitkin at 2:00 p.m. Aitkin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Barnum is ranked 106th). Greenway/Nashwauk-Keewatin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
