Recap: Florin Panthers vs. Burbank Titans
This season hasn't been kind to the Florin Panthers, who are still winless after their 12th contest. They were beaten by Burbank 59-15 on Thursday. Florin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Burbank apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.
It was another big night for Aniyah Bufford, who almost dropped a triple-double on 33 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals for Burbank. The contest was Bufford's third in a row with at least ten points. Larayna Osako-Cain was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds.
Florin's loss was their tenth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-12. As for Burbank, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Florin will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on January 8th. Burbank won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Laguna Creek at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Laguna Creek is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
