Preview: Rancho Dominguez Lobos vs. Grant Lancers
The Rancho Dominguez Lobos will be playing in front of their home fans against the Grant Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rancho Dominguez walked away with it. They took down the Tigers 43-27 on Thursday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Rancho Dominguez as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Rancho Dominguez found their leader in underclassman Audrey Baker, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which Baker has scored at least a third of Rancho Dominguez's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikea'lynn Bailey, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two blocks.
Meanwhile, Grant strolled past Panorama with points to spare last Thursday, taking the game 49-33. The victory was just what Grant needed coming off of a 62-12 loss in their prior matchup.
Rancho Dominguez's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-14. As for Grant, their win bumped their record up to 11-14.
